Magnatone may be best known for their legendary vibrato amps, but during the mid-’60s, they briefly produced a line of guitars and basses that have become cult classics — and the Hurricane Bass is among the coolest of them all.
This example features a short-to-medium scale neck (approx. 30”), an offset contoured body, and a chrome-covered single-coil pickup that delivers warm, punchy tones with a distinctive vintage character. The Turquoise Sparkle finish is factory original (or possibly a very limited custom order) and is exceptionally rare — only a handful of Hurricanes were ever finished in this color.
